Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV) is a premium, multi-layered thermoplastic polyurethane (PU) film used for heat-applied custom designs on fabrics and textiles. This versatile material comes in rolls or sheets in a wide range of colors, special effects (metallic, holographic, neon, glitter, flock for raised texture, reflective for safety), and thicknesses, allowing for detailed logos, numbers, names, patterns, and full-color graphics. HTV is compatible with vinyl cutting plotters (with or without contour cutting) for precise weeding and contouring of designs before transfer. After cutting and weeding, the design is applied using a heat press or iron at temperatures typically 150–165°C for 10–20 seconds with medium pressure, resulting in strong adhesion, excellent wash resistance (up to 50+ washes), flexibility, and a soft hand feel on garments. It adheres well to cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, and some coated fabrics, supporting both home-based crafters and professional apparel decorators. Available in popular sizes such as 50 cm or 60 cm widths, HTV enables quick turnaround for personalized clothing, team uniforms, promotional items, and fashion accessories without the need for inks or powders.
